Over the last 18 months, teaching and practicing yoga online has become second nature. I think the drama half of my degree and hosting uni radio shows gave me a headstart, but along the way I've also picked up a few pointers! β£π»π

Here are 6 tips to help you get the most out of your online practice: β£
1) Just as you would at the start of an in person class, please inform the teacher of any new injuries or pregnancy. You can do this via the chat function in zoom, or by unmuting yourself. β£

2) Keep your camera on so the teacher can provide verbal assists (and for insurance purposes!)β£ π·

3) No props? No problem. You can purchase yoga props including mats, yoga bolsters, cork blocks, straps and eye pillows via my website. Or get creative with pillows, cushions, dressing gown cords and thick books! β£π‘

4) If you love having music in class, use Spotify to find a yoga playlist. Find me on Spotify as 'surfsideyogastudio' or search the style of yoga you're doing eg 'flow yoga'. β£πΆ

5) Stay warm! Wear layers and have socks and a blanket nearby. β£

6) It's so worth getting up and turning off the lights for savasana, to help you drop deeper into your relaxation.
